It concerns such pressing issues as public transport.

You do know that there isn’t any public transport running at 3AM except for perhaps the a nightrider here and there. What do you want it to do? Tell you to catch a taxi? By starting the journey at 1:30 you’ve ruled out using all trains and most buses.

I knew you’d be stirring up trouble, Kearney! Actually, I asked it last week for trips arriving before 10.25am on a Sunday, and this squeezed in early on the list. It found three other perfectly sane options as well.
I admire the journey planner for its ingenious way of getting to Brighton Beach by 8.05am — impossible by train without an even longer wait. However I respectfully suggest that 6.5 hour trips involving 4 hour waits probably aren’t worth listing. But I’m glad it did, really, because it’s pretty funny.

Well, okay. That is funny if you asked to be somewhere before 10:45. I’m sure you figured this because you can read English, but I had assumed you had set a departure time of 1:30.
I agree they aren’t worth listing, but I still think it should. Journey Planner has a job and that is to present me with all my options – not to decide that they are ridiculous. I can do that on my own.
In your case though it is clearly stupid, and really, 1:30 should be a part of the previous day.
What I really want to know is what limit does it put on walking directions? If it can tell you to walk 350 metres to a station – in the event of a 4 hour wait why can’t it tell you just to walk the 9 kilometres?

You can give it a limit on walking distance – the max is 30 minutes at 6km/hr – so it won`t make you walk 9km.
