Well I’m excited now. Although thank god for the internet because there is no way it is getting shown here. Well, maybe after 9 gets around to finishing off season 3. Useless buggers.
I’m a bit worried they are going to make Grayza pregnant with Chricton’s child. That doesn’t have to be a bad thing I guess, but I cringe from the last time a show made a character pregnant because the actor happened to be.
This is the internet – so NEVER for a fact :) But several people on various forums seem quite adamant the Rebecca Riggs gave birth to a son in February. They have names and dates and everything. So whatever.
In any case, whether the actor was or not – it could quite possibly be a dream/nightmare sequence or something. I’m not worried. There are like heaps of theories out there.
Didn’t we discuss Resident Evil on your weblog? Or just one of the characters’ legs?
I’d have been surprised if it wasn’t cliched – it is after all based on a computer game, a medium where you can still get away with a lot of things that you can’t in film.
Hey that’s not fair, those people who write those shonky midday American TV shows get away with a hell of a lot more crap than any game does.
You could argue it has more to do with genre than the actual medium. People seem more forgiving of cliched crap if it’s in a Science fiction or fantasy setting – it just may not be as obvious because there isn’t as much of it film.
Although granted, the video game is still yet to be regarded as a ‘proper’ story telling medium.
I think your genre argument is more convincing than my media one – I feel that the big talents in directing and producing just aren’t drawn as often to science fiction and fantasy films, and you get hacks like whoever did D&D pushing their crappy little project to completion and utter humiliation.

Do you know that the actor is in fact pregnant?
That Crichton, sowing his seeds around the universe.

What’s the secret that could destroy them all?
Have you seen the Resident Evil trailer? It looks worryingly clichéd.

It wasn’t completely fair, you’re right, I just see a few games around that aren’t particularly worried about plot or cliché avoidance as long as they make sure there’s lots of healthy violence to be done.

I was talking about the new resident evil film. Resident Evil 4 looks good though.
Now I’ll win.
