Time is not on my side

This is Andy C’s arm.

This is it now…

An improvement? I’d like to think so. I didn’t think it fair that Sara had certain body parts exaggerated and that Andy just looked weedy. However this marvel of modern art took me about three hours – and believe me that is a conservative estimate. Of course, that includes the time I spent rigging a bone structure that makes it flex in a (vaguely) realistic fashion but all the same – it’s a long time for a silly arm.

The funny part is I probably won’t even be using it because I’m not sure I have the patience to make his entire body consistent, and Matt has correctly pointed out that I’m focusing far too much on the drawing aspect and people would probably prefer if I just pumped out the episodes instead of merely teasing you with an arm.

It is a good arm though. And I rather like drawing I’ve decided, even if I’m not particulary talented at it. But I have my exams in three weeks, and I really should be studying. I might however go and work on our B5 episode guide.

I need to get all my little projects out of the way before Halo 2. I’m excited already.

  1. I think that’s an excellent arm. Three hours per limb seems about right. Or don’t, and say you did, and the 1.5 year gap between episodes will be quite understandable…

  2. Actually it’s about a 13 month gap so ner.

  3. Think about it Jackson. What do you need when you’re going for a job interview? Good academic results or a well drawn arm? That’s right, keep drawing!

  4. It’s always the same story. Pump up the graphics and skip the quality…

  5. I’m sure however putting on a resume that I’ve finished Halo and Halo 2 on Legendary would have a similar effect to saying I finished a degree. Both show a level of dedication.

My enourmous list of completed games will woo any prospective employer.

And are you saying that movies with great special effects are bad Hayko? Hello??? Terminator 3??? Matrix revolutions??? Dr. Doolittle 2????

    Gosh.

  6. You think you’ll be able to beat Halo 2 on Legendary? I hope you haven’t gone soft. I think you should stop studying and get more Halo practice in.

  7. Taking into account your irony, Terminater 3 was a great movie. Seriously!

At least you’d be a predictable employee. Work performance would only go down when new games are released, not like getting pregnant all of a sudden, or falling in love, first.
