Fuck
Perhaps, if Mr Howard killed a puppy in front of the electorate, they’d sit up and take notice.
Probably not.
It’s not worth talking more about it. I just don’t get the Australian people. I preferred it when I was 14 and it only became obvious when the cricket delayed Babylon 5. These days the gap is more painful.

Clearly the nation is made up of conservative homeowners with a mortgage. Bloody hell. I hope it’s not conservative everywhere. I’ll put up with Howard as long as Bush goes. 3 more years.

I agree. Bush going would be a suitable consolation prize for the time being.
In the meantime, who’s up to chaining themselves to a few trees in Tasmania until the next election? If nothing else, it would be a bit of fun I think.

If we can find some trees next to an Oporto’s joint, I’m there.
If Bush doesn’t go, things will be grim indeed.
And you’re forgetting “gullible”, Andy. After all, the interest rate scaremongering seemed to do a good job. I spoke to so many people that bought it. Labor’s fault I suppose for claiming that they’d be trying to keep them down rather than saying “that’s bullshit”.

You think it’ll be grim for you if Bush doesn’t go?
I live here and I’m afraid of what will happen if he doesnt leave office. I’ve decided if he’s re-elected I’m getting the hell out of dodge.

I meant, grim for the world… But yes, it must be extra concerning for you guys. There’s always space for you here, in the 51st state. Or 52nd. Whichever.
Where’s Dodge?

It’s a car. Cars can be driven from place to place. That’s the point really.

Ah, good point Hayko. According to google, “dodge” refers to:
So either there’s a list of dodgy cities out there that everyone’s aware of, or Dodge is just the place you don’t want to be.

As I understand it, ‘get outta Dodge’ is a reference to Dodge City in Wild West days – Wyatt Earp, gunslingers, etc. Dodge City being a tough town to begin with, when the bad guys start going nuts and you know that things are going to get really out of hand, the only thing to do is Get Out Of Dodge. I think it’s a reference to some real event or an apocryphal saying by someone famous, but it might just be a general sentiment of the times…
yeah, and nobody ever wants to play me at trivial pursuit, for some reason …

I’m glad we got THAT sorted. I feel we’ve all learned something here.
Or maybe, just me.
